Posting Course Notes on Quantum Hardware

I am going to finally start putting my lecture notes online 😄

For now, I'm beginning with the course notes for AP203/228, which is a two-quarter series:

• First quarter: Primarily focused on quantum optics and atomic physics (taught collaboratively with Ben Lev, Monika Schleier-Smith, and Jon Simon)
• Second quarter: Advanced quantum optics applied to hardware, covering both superconducting and photonic implementations (taught with Dave Schuster, with valuable input from Marek Pechal)

The notes will be posted here incrementally over the coming weeks. I just started posting chapter 1.

I'm particularly excited about incorporating some JavaScript-based animations or interactive widgets to help visualize things and build intuition.

If you have suggestions for specific concepts that would benefit from visualization or interactive elements, please share them with me! I'm especially interested in feedback from students on which quantum concepts are most challenging to grasp.
